I can't get more than 3.85mhz stable with up to 1.42v vcore. I'm not prepared to run higher volts than that so stopped there. Running at 3.8mhz with 1.37v now as the performance difference is so small.
may give the CPU another go on its own when I have time.
Yea that was gonna be my next move. I know you're on a different board but do any of the above settings I listed mean anything to you and any idea if I'm right to just match the auto figures?!You can probably lower the 1.3v to about 1.2v. My 1700 is stable at 1.22v @ 3.7Ghz. Helps keep temps down![]()
Gigabyte Gaming 5 F6F beta bios
G Skill Trident Z 3466C16 running at 3333 16 16 16 36 as I'm not quite 100% stable at 3466 yet, but really close. HCI Memtest it picking up an error after 375%.
Have you tried 3200 c14 instead? Sure I've seen benches where it comes out on top against 3333 c16.
@LumpyVR mind if I ask what you did to get your ram to run at 3200?Gigabyte Gaming 5 F6 bios
3.8Ghz @ 1.335v, passed an hour or so of prime etc. but need to monitor for a while to see if its 100% stable as at 1.33 it was falling over on about the hour mark in prime. This is with Corsair LPX at 3200Mhz.
I'd like to get 3.9 but I really wanted to stay below 1.35v for a 24/7 overclock and I'm pretty sure its not going to do that unfortunately, average silicon at best i guess.
1600X @ 4.0 using 1.368v.

Corsair LPX is on their QVl RAM list. Don't remember what revision. That's just using the standard XMP profile 2 on the latest bios for the Gigabyte Gaming 5, zero manual tweaking required..
