Ryzen 5 1600 is a popular chip and wanted to see what overclock some owners have been able.

Share your Ryzen 1600 Overclock here and a little about your setup.

I can't get more than 3.85mhz stable with up to 1.42v vcore. I'm not prepared to run higher volts than that so stopped there. Running at 3.8mhz with 1.37v now as the performance difference is so small.

Thanks for sharing, if you could also share a little about your setup (board, Ram) it may help others.

Gigabyte Gaming 5 F6 bios
3.8Ghz @ 1.335v, passed an hour or so of prime etc. but need to monitor for a while to see if its 100% stable as at 1.33 it was falling over on about the hour mark in prime. This is with Corsair LPX at 3200Mhz.
I'd like to get 3.9 but I really wanted to stay below 1.35v for a 24/7 overclock and I'm pretty sure its not going to do that unfortunately, average silicon at best i guess.

3.85 @ 1.37, played hours stable on Timespy, Cinebench R15, Ghost Recon and Total War Warhammer.
Asrock X370 Gaming K4 with 16gb of Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 @2933.

Did get it running at 3.9 @1.4 but also tried overclocking the memory to 3200mhz at the same time and one of them fell over while doing a Cinebench R15 run and had to reset CMOS and left it at the earlier overclock above, may give the CPU another go on its own when I have time.

3.7@ 1.3v on a Gigabyte Gaming 5 F6 bios - not prime stressed but have just played games/used the pc and not had a crash yet ;) not tried any higher just yet until I know better what I'm doing!

anyone got a link to a decent guide to overclocking the R5 1600 as I haven't got a clue what most of the options are.

bumped the clock and vcore up then just matched the below to the auto figure (see below)
Vcore SOC @ 1.1
VDD18 @ 1.8
DDRVPP @ 2.5
DRAM Termination @ 0.6

Core Performance Boost = Disabled
AMD Cool & Quiet = Disabled
SVM Mode = Disabled
Global C-State Contril = Enabled
SMT Mode = Auto
Downcore Control = Auto

temps on a quick run on cinebench topped @ about 55°c

ryzen master is showing about 38°c under normal use

My Ryzen 1600 has been stable at 3.9Ghz since release. 1.38v and cooled with a Noctua D15s usually around 50-60c on load during these warmer days.
Ram is Corsair lpx 3200 running at 2966Mhz.

The system is mostly silent though as I run my fans on low settings, so the cpu could be cooler.

I do notice some low gpu usage on some games with my 1080ti at 2560x1080 144hz but some games really give the Ryzen a good work out.

Assassins Creed Unity uses up to 80 percent load with all threads evenly spread out and my 1080ti using 95 percent and up utilization.

It's great to see that. :)

@LumpyVR mind if I ask what you did to get your ram to run at 3200?

That's just using the standard XMP profile 2 on the latest bios for the Gigabyte Gaming 5, zero manual tweaking required..

Corsair LPX is on their QVl RAM list. Don't remember what revision.

Good point, v4.32 (i think) is Samsung b die and v5.39 is Hynix (what I have)

Sorry to be a pest @LumpyVR but you don't happen to know which version ram you're running?

Edit: sorry (again!) but xmp profile 2? I'm on bios F6 which looks to be the most up to date official bios and I only see 1 xmp profile. Is the other hidden away somewhere strange?!
