Shaving, getting it right

I go neck to jaw. I shave downwards first on my face then I do neck to jaw, then I shave agian but going in the oppossite direction to the first time.

Nice and smooth then :)

Neck to jawline for me.

Apart from my sideburns and under my chin, I always shave with the grain though. I hate feeling really clean shaven..

I find if i shave with the grain, i.e. jaw to neck i don't get as close a shave but am irriatation free. If i shave against the grain i.e. neck to jaw then my skin gets raw and irritated.

I'm trying to be manly because I think moisturiser is girly?

Ok :/

Ha ha the funny thing is it makes you sound more gay saying that! Is there a rule book for men somewhere saying that men must not moisturise?

just to let you know most women find it more attractive when men take care of their themselves.

Maybe you dont have to moisturise, some of us do!

What is up with all these recommendations? Every face is different and everyone's hair growth is different. It might not be symmetrical either, so study your face and go with the grain first. Then across if you want closer, followed by against for maximum closeness. Try a safety razor too if you're not happy with the cost and/or performance of cartridge razors.

lol it's funny reading all the posts with people trying to be all manly; "OMFG moisturiser? be a man and use your urine" etc. Shaving can be a art if you want it to be, there's forums dedicated to it :) .

Your gay arent you :p Far too many metrosexuals in here, you probabaly all goto toni and gay for your haircuts too :D

(all said in jest btw ;) )

I hate shaving. For the past two weeks I've just been trimming back to 2 days worth of stubble with an electric razor, my skin is all the better for it :). When I do shave it's always with the grain, using foam, a mach3 and hot water.

Use a decent Shaving Gel (L'Oreal Men Expert Anti-Irritation Gel is what I use), go against the grain after taking a shower/using a hot flannel. Then use a cold flannel or Aftershave(it's called that for a reason ;)) to close your pores up.

No irritation for me.

Asking a question now makes me sound gay. Riiiiight. Maybe this is a defensive nonsense and maybe its a dream that you want to be with me, either way its a shame ;)

Nope. It just sounds queer, what is difficult to understand about that?

I know perfectly well what women do and do not find attractive. I don't need to moisturise, none of my friends moisturise and only the metro at work do I know of in RL that moisturises. Hence I find it a bit gay. Don't take it personally.

lol thats it im getting my moisturiser and im gonna use it as lube to sort you out pmsl!!

I know what your saying but if i dont use moisturiser then my neck looks like its had a row with a field of stingers!

Is it ok do both then?

I mean the in the case of some of my mates. They will grow a beard/goatee or whatever but will use a hair dryer, straighteners, face packs and will shave their chest and trim around man-meat region

Short strokes from neck to jaw, done with gilette moisturising gel, and mach3 turbo ;)

lovely close finish, never get as close going from jaw down,

Define 'mates'. Do they often disappear together on nights out?
