Sherlock - Series 2 - BBC

Come on then who wants to write the reveal to show how Sherlock sorted it all out in the end?
Shouldnt be too difficult.

Something a friend posted elsewhere;

"Somehow she arranged that the cyclist knock him over - disorientated him - he only saw what he thought he should see!
My theory - are you ready? - It was Moriartys body - with Sherlocks clothes and mask. I think Moriarty used SHerlock masks to convince the police that it was Sherlock commiting the crimes. That would explain why the little girl screamed when she saw Sherlock because Moriarty had been dressing as him.
Sooo on the roof - he stands on the ledge talks to John - makes him stand in a certain place and only look at him. Then Molly changes Moriarty and throws the body off the ledge - seconds later Sherlock jumps into the bin just at the side of shot (You can just see it) Then John is knocked over so he is disorientated. He sees the head with blood(Moriarty) and the rest he doesn't fully see because he is all fuzzy. Nobody else knows him well enough to tell the difference. Then Molly does the post mortem - and confirms that Moriarty is Sherlock - he is buried as Sherlock and then boom. Done. :)"

3.7 billion cash given to a company for free and they can only afford to make 3 episodes...

great show was very disipointed there were only 3...

...so nobody at the accident scene at all, none of the police/emergency services would notice the body had a mask on?

Depends how good the mask was I guess. Don't forget that Molly would be able to do a fair bit of covering up.

Also wouldn't the gunman see the switch?

The gunman was on some stairs pointing at Watson, so likely wouldn't be able to see the roof to see any switch.

Either way, it's just a theory a friend posted. :)

Sherlock clearly jumps into the bin lorry which pulls off just after the body hits the floor.

From Watsons POV, he never saw Sherlock actually hit the floor because his view is blocked by the single story building. This is why Sherlock demands Waston to stay where he is, because is is the perfect obstruction.

Each 90 minutes long if I'm not mistaken? So the equivalent of 3 films.

Already said it earlier, but their eyes are completely different colours. I don't get how more people didn't see that given the amount of close-ups the two of them got at the end.

Or did Sherlock have time to put contacts in Moriarty's eyes whilst he was up there? I'd imagine that would be very difficult when the tear ducts have stopped working.

Remember the episode was told from Watson's point of view.

And again I really hope that isn't the case as that's a massive cop out! Really would let the whole episode down if that's the case. It's always done by sloppy shows that can't be bothered to actually think of something intelligent.

Given the original stories are all Watsons recounting of events its not that much of a cop out.

No, but I feel they've underplayed that in this series. They've shown then doing things together and mentioned that Watson is blogging the stories.

I think that given this episode started very much hammering home the point that it was Watson explaining what happened in a counselling session. While I think it *might* be a bit of a cop out, it certainly wouldn't surprise me if season three shows Sherlock explaining what actually happened.

I know that Martin Freeman (Dr John Watson) and Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holmes) get all plaudits, and rightly so, I'd just like to say that Rupert Graves (DI Lestrade), Andrew Scott (Jim Moriarty) and Mark Gatiss (Mycroft Holmes) are too bloody fantastic.

Andrew Scott was outstanding in the last episode.
