Ok reading the FAQ the Activations are only for the Offline mode and I guess its to stop you from just keep playing the game after sub has ended or just giving it away to people. Makes sense
The activations do not effect online play. :D


¿What is a license of use?
Non exclusive license to use ShootersPool software without assignment of property rights.

What is an activation of the license?
A personal and nontransferable code associated to a registered user, a system and a license to use ShootersPool.

How many activations do I have?
With the initial purchase of Shooters Pool, you get 3 license activations.

How can I activate the license?
Make sure you have an internet connection enabled.

Once downloaded and the game installed, run it.

Fill in the form of activation with the data which you registered online. If the data are correct, you will receive a notification that the license has been successfully activated.

Can I play online if I have not activated the license of ShootersPool?
Yes.

What happens if I format my computer or change my operating system?
If you make important changes in your computer, such as formatting or changing the operating system, you will lose your activation.

To return to enjoy ShootersPool you will need to re-activate the license.

I have not more activations, what should I do?
If you want to continue enjoying ShootersPool offline you must purchase a new activation.

You can purchase a new activation in the store.. Go to "STORE" » "CATALOGUE" y select in the filters "ITEM TYPES" » "ACTIVATIONS"

How can I know how many activations I have?
Go to your account details from the main navigation bar "MY PROFILE" » "MY ACCOUNT" » "MEMBERSHIP DETAILS".

I have no more activations, Can I still play Online?
Yes. The activation of the license only affects the offline game.
 
I actually do have more than one computer for various reasons, but that is besides the point.

Being penalised for owning more than a number of computers they think one should have is a bad call on their behalf.

This arcs back to the old "securom" days, and that was bad.

It is this type of ******** in the industry which is a step too far in my opinion.

We are talking games here, not application software. My entire Steam library works without a hitch, uninstall, reinstall, reset Windows, change Hard Drives, not a problem. Same for Origin and even Ubisoft who are the DRM ******* of the last millennia do not charge to "activate" a game, offline mode, online mode, whatever.

I understand they need to protect their investment but there are more "refined" ways and until they implement those changes, I cannot recommend this game. Call it a personal stance but we should not be rewarding developers who are using such methods.

In this day and age, there are far more "tidy" solutions, they just needed to plan a little more and think of the bigger picture.

For example, there is ZERO reason why "offline" functionality cannot work with an "online" check to ensure a sub is valid.

The term "offline" is not literal, it just refers to game modes etc which are available "offline", there is no reason such modes should not be available to me on 10 computers (Not at the same time) if I am online with a valid sub.

From the 1st November 2018, it won’t be needed to hire any subscription plan to keep playing online without limitations.
