I'm doing some coursework and using different worksheets in Excel on Mac. (Different windows, not tabs)

Clicking 'Window' on the top-bar and finding the right sheet is tedious.. is there not a keyboard shortcut to cycle through worksheets as you can for tabs?

CMD + Page Up (Left) or Page Down (Right).

That cycles through tabs, not worksheets.
You mean workbooks (the "tabs" are worksheets - https://www.excel-easy.com/basics/worksheets.html)?

If you're fullscreen'd then you can cycle apps/windows using CTRL+Left/Right. Otherwise you can right-mouse click the dock icon to select a workbook or, install a alt-tab switcher like AltTab (https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...cations-thread.18927576/page-19#post-36703311) to give you something a bit more like the switcher in Windows.

Not quite what you want but if you're using a trackpad, do it via Mission Control? Swipe up with four fingers and click on the other window?

If I have multiple workbooks open I use Command ` to cycle through the sheets

Just hold the command button and then every time you click ` (next to Z) it will cycle through
