Should Fergie stay or go at the end of this season (or before?)

I'm a hopefully non-arrogant Utd supporter but come on - do you really think United have not got worse in the last few years? Yes other teams have improved but Utd have gone backwards as well. The team is stale and dodgy signings haven't helped.

yes utd are not playing as attractive footy as before but that dude said other teams havent got better

I guess I should have read what he said more carefully :D :o

I wouldn't say Arsenal & Liverpool have improved this season compared to last though.

I think you'd be wrong to say that the teams around us are getting better (Liverpool and Arsenal, mainly)... quite simply United are getting worse. Since the realease of Jaap Stam, we've gone backwards.

While I don't disagree that United have gone backwards, it's plain wrong to say that Arsenal and Liverpool haven't improved. The Arsenal of 3 years ago wouldn't have scored in 53 consecutive Prem games, while going an entire season undefeated away from home, and going 41 (was it?) games without defeat dmoestically. They've obviously improved, which is why they were so much better than Man Utd last year.

Arsenal were playing great football last year though :)

Liverpool are the most boring team in the league *yawn*

yep most utd supporters i know are arrogent ;)

I think a lot of arsenal fans a lot of things i cant say on here, but I wont say your all the same, because your not, most of you are damn nice people. How many united fans do you know? How many are proper united fans, not just part time supporters? 99.9% of proper man utd fans are top blokes, who know they're football and dont mind a reasoned discussion, instead of the "Haha, united lost" "haha, beckhams injured" crap we get from half the world...

Anyway, back to the topic. I think he should have left when he said he was going to, and I think he should leave if united dont turn this season around pretty quick. But then again, who would replace him? And who'd want the job? Hell of a lot of pressure on united's next manager..

I work in Manchester, and have done for over 2 years, and 90% of Manyoo fans I've come across have been the opposite of the fans you describe.

I joke about it not being so but most real manyoo fans come from Manchester. Salford, Prestwich and the likes. I would say there are more City fans in Manc than manyoo fans in manc, but there's still plenty of reds there, but we are talking about REAL fans. 90% of which will be situated in the surrounding areas of Old Trafford.

It's posts like this that really annoy me. I put the time and effort in to make a well thought-out post and you pick up on one tiny little aspect of it and blatantly ignore the rest.

Not only that, but you can't argue with what I've said, as it's my opinion. I don't think he's a very good player, just because you do doesn't mean to say he IS a good player!

And you can't say my opinion is "absolute ******" as my opinion is just as valid as yours.

mate , most of the 'hate' threads going on about man u always get a post from you . 'butts not good enough' - oh yeah ? why is he 1 of svens first choice midfielders ? - utter rubbish now i am a nice person and agree with whats being said but from what i have heard from u leads me to believe Please check your email and will be on my ignore list (if available) from now on even if it is your opinion its the way you put it across which really gets up my nose.

Robert, just coz u dont agree with him it doesnt mean he is wrong. I agree and disagree with some of the stuff he says so there is no need to start flaming mate :)

There are certain players he doesnt like e.g. Arsenals Sol campbell who is a great player but mr gilleh doesnt rate him (but he is blatently wrong i mean come on its sol campbell :p)

Agreed, this thread is for the level headed discussion of a topic trying to have a thread about Man U not errupt in flaming.

I haven't had time to read all the replys but as a Liverpool fan I cant believe how shallow any fan could be by not supporting someone who brought there club as much silwerware as Ferguson has. They must have very short memories.

In my opinion UTD have become unstuck by there huge signings and the managers almost fanatical desire to win the Champions league again. Once more in the last 5 or so years a new bread of manager has evolved in the likes of Houiller and Wenger.

One word...

Injuries.

Thats why United aren't top at the moment. We've had 7 or
8 players go under the knife since the season started. We've
have big injuries to Keane, Butt, Ferdinand (twice now), Scholes,
Giggs, Beckham, Neville, Barthez, Ruud, pretty much the whole
team.

We've not had a consistant run without injuries, and sure everyone
has injuries but not like United this season....

Yup, excuses, excuses, excuses. but hey, if Liverpool don't win
the league, nor Arsenal, you don't honestly think their fans
and managers/players won't make excuses why they didn't
win it..

And to answer the thread, nope I don't think Fergie should go
at the end of the season, nor the next, nor the one after that
either.

pfft ;) United's injury list is a pale imitation of ours :(

But a squad needs depth to be a real contender to cover for certain folk getting injured. With big money signings like Veron & Rio, Fergie has muted the squads ability to do so imo.
