Personally i think it could be a good way to encourage better discipline and respect in the game. It could be used for decent or unsporting behaviour ie diving. Any thoughts?
Referees need more respect in general, I don't know what it is but you very rarely see the ref getting foul mouthed abuse or being screamed at in rugby, in football it seems to happen on a weekly basis though.
That's because, generally speaking, the refs in rugby are far better and actually explain their decisions without patronising the players. I have a lot of sympathy for football refs but the ones with the superiority complex usually get the most abuse and it's hard to disagree that they bring it on themselves.
It works in rugby because there are so many players on the pitch that no-one notices when one is taken off, I don't think it would in football.

I don't watch anywhere near enough rugby to know but I'm assuming they don't have attitude problems,
