Should I contact them?

Ok now I'm waiting for the result.

Thanks for meeting with us. I should be able to give you final feedback in the week of 15th October as we have to go through the recruitment procedure.
As discussed, please keep us updated if anything changes in your situation and your availability.

How long shall I wait until I contact them? They haven't contacted me yet. Or should I just wait?

Give it until Friday mate.

They say they have to follow a procedure so they sound like my workplace where they employ externally but still need to see through the internal applicant list and cross them off even if they've decided to hire someone from the external applicant list.

Seriously? The answer is in the reply you got. Maybe try reading it?

With the amount of hand holding you have had in this thread already I'd hate to end up on the phone to you for support :/

Good try. I'm not sure why I would be on the phone giving support to people if you read the thread properly. Read before you post.

Quite harsh!

It maybe is harsh but is very true.

Sometimes you need to be harsh to get someone to wake up and actually handle the situation themselves which this guy needs as just how would he be in this new job? 'When do i do this task?' 'Who should I ask?' etc etc

I'm sorry...

It's a development support/ Anaylist, mainly troubleshoot and bug fixes and stuff. So what would the test be on?

You will be on the phone amongst other means giving support quite a bit I'd think.

Yet you have no clue on how to go about following dead simple instructions in an email. good luck is all I can say.

Actually the role I have there is not much phone support at all. All I was asking is should or when should I contact them. I didn't want to seem like I was pestering them after one day to see if I got he job. You don't know me, I can easily stand on my own two feet, just wanted an opinion from everyone else that has more experience as this would be my first IT based job.

I would leave it until Friday PM personally, and even then I'd make up another offer you may be interested in so just called to check as this one is your priority etc

Obviously leave it until Friday. He he'll be able to give you feedback and that he wants you to contact them if anything changes on your end. That means there's absolutely no need to contact them unless something changes.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt when I first replied to this thread, but you do seem to need a strangely large amount of hand holding.

It's not that I needed hand holding, it's just I really wanted it and I didn't want to screw things up or make me look bad so that's why I was asking for advice.

Well she called me up today and I've got it anyway :)
