Should I get a Monogram Colour ?

It's for TVRs

Looks horrible and a total nightmare to repair. Not really possible to spot repair at all, full respray or nothing tbh and even then you need a highly experienced painter to get it right.

The TF has a really nice look to it...

With this paint, it looks like a clown has thrown up on it.

Keep it for TVR's and Chavved to hell Saxos, or buy one and get it redone in Trophy Blue! :D

The price of paint over the last few years has sky rocketed
for sure, it's still not that expensive though.
, I will check with the old man to see how much a litre costs tonight.
£40 a litre or so for waterborne, solvent base is half that but shops aren't supposed to use it any more. Flip flop colours cost £100+ a litre.
A respray for a std car is around 3/4k all in, with the flip paint you are looking at least double that.
Rubbish, it costs nowhere near that much.

I think the rule that someone on another forum posted re: Lambo Green applies equally to flip paint.

Flip paint (or bright Lambo Orange/Green) is awesome, however it only works if it's applied to a car that is able to contain all that awesomeness.

They then followed this statement with a picture of a lime green Murcilago and a lime green Civic.

The TVR and the Rover back on page 1 would work just as well.

I quite like the "bittersweet" paint in the first shot, but the second pic is too much like the (chromaflair I think) paint that Nissan used on the Primera GT's and has since been adopted by the chav fraternity.
Even so, while I think that type of paint can look nice it's not for me as I'd be too worried that some oik scratched it. IIRC you have to paint the entire side of the car if you want a "proper" job due to the way iridescent paint scatters light.
