Should i re-decal my Capri or leave it bare? (pics)

This is true, I presume theres an array of engine transplant options?, like the none turbo cossie lumps and such?. Sounds like a wicked idea.

the coolest capris are the ones that are modded as they were in the 70/80s ;)
i disagree, they WERE the coolest...but that was when the Capri was new and available....now they're becoming rare the coolest capris,or any old school car for that matter, are the completely standard ones.

you could buy a V8 capri and if you can fit a V8 in you can pretty much fit anything in the engine bay.

Yah, just had a scout around. Doesnt seem like the hardest job to get a 24v granada cossie lump in there. Close on 200 ponies through the rear wheels as standard, yumyum.

roughly speaking it's the same engine that's already fitted to the car.
a little taller and a touch wider, but for all intents and purposes it's a cologne.

Looks great but I think it would look better with badges back on. Or like this with a V8:

IMHO older and, dare i say it classic, cars like that look their best when they look as they did the day they left the factory gates.

just my opinion.
unless it's modded the same way the car was modded by some owners when it was new.

like that Abarth Fiat with the boot propped open for example.

as a sidenote, speaking as someone who has been stabbed and partially set on fire before,i can assure you i'm puncture proof and flame retardent.

:p

I prefer standard looking motors too, especially classic ones with some changes under the bonnet is good and maybe a few little alterations here and there to the bodywork but nothing drastic.

Those lights on my dads Capri aren't standard but it looks OK I reckon. :)

looks like a nice example, however the yellow one above doesn't look right to me.
the wheels, the bonnet vents.....just looks wrong IMHO.
horses for courses i guess.

Now that is how I'd have a Capri!!!!

Rather than a V8, could you use a cossie turbo lump?

I know it detracts from the idea, but could you use a complete cossie 4wd system? I'd like that a lot. 400hp and 4wd capri and look like the above -

I just think it's incredibly blinkered. There are some fantastically modified older cars around.

X-Pack kit, i'd love to do that in a few years, in fact the more i see of them the more i want to.

/lil edit, bonnet vents are nasty though, and i think kinda pointless in that location unless you need extra cooling for your headlights?? :D

However 90% of the X-Pack's i have seen in person have had the paint on the fibreglass bits go all manky & cracked or simply look rippled, seen a few real nice ones though.

If i was to do anything like that i'd want to have the skills to do it myself, unfortunately i do not therefore it will probably never happen. :(

more of the same.perhaps the engine installation needed more engine bay cooling and the owner felt that putting vents there would be the most tasteful option?
personally i think it's a shame as they spoil the car IMHO.
