im currently using an old 300GB HDD as boot having problems with my pc and slowly changing parts could my HDD be the problem ill post both of my Drives

and my 750GB media drive

just over 3 years got in july/august 2005 and the 750 is about 6 months

Your 300Gb drive is pathetic

Spend £60 on a 640Gb WD Black drive, you'll notice the difference guaranteed.

Sounds like its about to go! I would back it up and get it replaced as soon as mate!
