Should I sell?

I've already spent £5k on repairs, I think I'll cry if I have to spend another grand.
That, and a powerful 10 year old Saab at the bottom of the market is going to depreciate less in a year than a diesel Leon which is currently on 90k miles.

**** it then have a change, how much will you get for the Seat?

Hopefully between €8-9k, but I'm not hopeful because it really needs a respray and new rear bumper.

Sounds like a total dog!
Mechanically, it's sound!

Some arse reversed into it a year ago and I didn't get round to fixing the rear bumper.
The bonnet has über stonechips and there's a bit of rust on one of the wheel arches.

And it's black, so it's nicely swirlmarked.
And there are some little dings from car parks, but that's hardly my fault..

Your Seat must have been built at 3pm on a friday because it sounds like a total nail, i'm not sure who would want to buy it off you with the faults you've listed.

There's nothing left to go wrong! I've replaced the aux belt, tensioner, all the boost pipes, most of the front suspension and it has new discs and pads all round.

It's 4wd though, so I'm sure someone will buy it.
I've seen much, much scabbier, higher mileage ones for sale with zero spec sell for not much less.

The only thing that doesn't work now is the AC.
But yes, the Cupra 4s were made in Spain, unlike the rest which were also made in Belgium.

A car that has had some commen weak links replaced is good. A car that's just bad is just that, bad.

You'll still sell it but the person buying it will be sorry I'm sure.

I couldn't care less about the person I'm selling to, and that's what I expect from a seller.

There's nothing mechanically wrong with it and I don't think the turbo will explode tomorrow but I wouldn't be surprised if it does go in the next 10-20,000 miles.

Regarding the paint, there's not a lot you can do with stone chips and having a black car unfortunately doesn't help. This would requrie about 1 gallon of chips away :p

I can't be bothered, like I said, taking the rear bumper scuff and the bubbling into account, a respray would just be easier.
I was seriously considering it, but I highly doubt I'd make it back on the sale.

Plus people get suspicious about resprays.
