Not necessarily depending on what router you have.csmager said:ADSL Max doesn't limit sync rates, it set SNR targets. So if you improve your SNR, then all that'll happen is the router'll sync at a higher rate. The SNR margin should remain unchanged.
If it's dropping, there's some random noise burst on the line that is too much for that SNR margin to cover up. The 10 day training should pick up on frequent disconnects and increase the target margin. If that time's past, then you're probably stuck with it
I have a SpeedTouch router and I was having a few disconnections in the evening due to the SN/R margin dropping and despite asking to have interleaving switched on, my line was still dropping because the default 6 dB target was set too low.
I have been using this DMT Tool http://dmt.mhilfe.de/ to set a slightly higher SN/R target margin of 9 dB and for the last 2 days my connection hasn't dropped.
p.s. when you log in to your router the language reverts to English.
