Should NVidia drop SLI, has it had it's day ?

What I'd like to see is a discount when buying multiple cards or a discount on a card if you can prove that you've already purchased one the same.

It's too expensive to be viable for most people with the straight multiplier on cost.

this happens all to often now, I won't say SLI was terrible when I was using it and it certainly allowed me to play Star citizen alpha + BF4 decently with 2x gtx 670 4GB's. Sadly one of them blew so I'm on a 970 now and I think thats enough to last me a while till some beastly single card solution comes out in '16/17

No. Some games are fine but others just don't have enough power with one card. I should know, I have a 980Ti and a 4K. I doubt a Titan X would fare noticeably better.

OcUKs SLI bundles did not scale well -

4 cards and only one bag of Haribos.

I thought it was the same engine as Mad Max and SLI works fine in that. Now I cant run JC3 in 3 or 4k and DSR
