I think the thread on daily deals works fine as it is. I check it every day so all i have to do is look at the date of the posts to find todays posts = simples

Gimpy the issue with that is that the main forum will be a polluted mess of posts on each bargain found, not sure anyone wants that.

Take today - 11 Game Deals posted in the Daily thread - That would have been 11 new threads all over the forum

and the daily thread in just over a year has had 300k odd views - must work ok ?

Have been around here a few years and never had a problem with it :)

Consolidated thread like we have now.

We don't need another subforum, and in all honesty I highly doubt it will happen anyway.
+1

Much fuss about nothing.

It's bookmarked(updated regularly).

I know where to look.

It's my most visited thread here@OcUK and would miss it dearly!

Why oh why does something that simply works need to be changed?

I know, a vote with a few options, how stupid.
Bought just DA2, never going to get through both of them, thanks so much :D....

...although I would never have found this deal today if this thread wasn't here any more, as it would have been lost somewhere in the PC Games Section who knows where!

Bottom line, someone comes along who would like to delete/split/create sub forum or whatever is stupid instead of leaving things as they are, because of one bright spark idea, others could/will lose out if the thread becomes no more.

Then when you edit it to read:

I know, a vote with a few options, one of them you agree with, how stupid.

I would indeed be as stupid as the person who thought it all up to not agree with one of them for fear of losing the thread I would like to keep!:(

I do find it quite difficult at times to find what I want in that deals thread, found a deal I wanted while at work forgot about it for a day and went to look the following evening and it had moved on multiple pages and I couldnt find the bloody deal anymore.

I never thought the daily deals thread would last tbh, and my doubts about the OP intending to update the first post on a daily basis were not unfounded. Saying that, it's really taken off and if you are willing to put the time in you can find some great stuff in there. It beats having loads of deal threads clogging the place up at any rate.

Pro Tip

If you are really struggling - change the post per page to 80 (in the user cp) and Ctrl+F in the thread to find the name of the game the deal was on. Easier than trawling through with the standard post per page setting. :p

I prefer the subforum idea.

I don't like the single thread for deals, as I don't view that thread every day, so when i catch up with it, most of the deals are out of date.

Separate threads with the name of the games on sale in the title make most sense for me. I don't browse the forum every day - I get email notifications when a new thread is created, and can choose to view the ones that interest me.
