Should this be cencored

I haven't read the thread or the link but I know what it's about.

I think it's a good thing that action is being taken, these sort of things can affect the way young girls think. I don't find it offensive at all, but I won't hide behind the excuse that "It's been done for ages now and it's been fine!" because it isn't really fine, youngsters are incredibly impressionable and we shouldn't set examples like this.

Yes all young girls are now going to dress like ***** and sleep around like whores becuase of that advert. Do these people not think before they create world wide panic.

Japan has some serious problems too really.

Sex sells but I do feel the "sexualization of children" is a problem in our society, children already feel a huge pressure to be "grown up", FFS let children have their childhood!

I see no children in that advert.

She's dressed like a school girl, do not underestimate how impressionable young people are.

I know exactly how impressionable young people are, I'm a father of four children, my eldest being just one year shy of being a teenager.

My point was that there was nothing in that advert that was 'sexualising children', the model is clearly in her late teens.

It's not about how old the model is, it's about how children will view it. They see a hot school girl of their own age, not a near 20 year old model.

And do you honestly think that this will make all the innocent teen girls turn into scantily clad *****?

As people have already said, should St Trinians be banned? And the Britney Spears video? Maybe an ad for an airline isn't the most appropriate place for this image, but there are much worse things out there for impressionable young minds. Their peers mainly.........

No of course not, but it all adds up.

I am not saying this is the work of the devil, just that it does affect young teenagers. Yes even St Trinians and the Britney Spears video. Just because things like that have happened in the past doesn't mean they are right and should continue to be acceptable.

The ASA should concentrate their efforts on banning the showing of Feminine Hygeine products on TV when I'm trying to eat my dinner.
