2017 Macbook Pro with the touch bar. I'm just trying to sort myself a little home music creation set up really, and the whole iMac thing is a bit of a "i want one" rather than "i need one". it's a tough feeling to overcome :D

Great machine and perfect for the LG, just plug in the USB-C cable and it passes all video/audio through and charges the Mac. Get the 32" and enjoy :)

i'm guessing the hike in price is because of thunderbolt and the screen real estate? i really can't see another reason for it being a grand compared to the 27" at ~£500

Just switched back to Apple. Rerfurb 2018 MM i5/16/256 with an external 1TB SSD. Hooked up to the new 23.7 LG Ultrafine.

Don’t you find it’s a real pain to use anything full screen on a monitor that size? To read anything, your head must be moving backwards and forwards so much. Even on the 27” iMac, I never run anything full screen for exactly that reason.

This is part of the reason why after using my 2019 5K iMac for a week I decided that it was too big for full screen, which made it kinda redundant, so I returned it. I love running apps full screen and swiping between them. I ended up with the 23.7 Ultrafine 4K and full screen on this is very comfortable.
