*** Show us your Dogs ***

Max has only ever chewed one pair of shoes and they were an Ex's as a pup.

Apart from that nothing, as long as you don't plan on having crystal vases on pedestals next to the doors of your house I'm sure it will be ok.

I can't tell you what to do...but i'd really like to say that I'd rather you went to a rescue center dedicated to the breed. There are just FAR too many out and about at the moment needing homes it's ridiculous :(

And anyone who is thinking of getting a husky purely on looks should probably not get one! The reason so many are in danger of being put to sleep is because people do not realise how much walking/running/training they require.

But thats just my vice with people with huskys and then complain they destroy their homes.

As I said a few posts ago, we know someone with a Husky which is of the 'British Racing' type, and the damn thing may as well have ADHD...This fella coupled with the malamute they have have managed to break out of their crates and destroy two sofas within six months ;)

I like the fact that in 2yrs I have lived in a flat with Max, he has yet to destroy a thing, he gets walked 3-4 times per day, and I know that he sleeps the second I leave the flat :).

Could only keep huskies if I had a lot of open land and a big fence.

You need to discipline the dog, end of. It's young, so you want to get it out of the bad habbits now, instead of letting it think it can do those things :)

*typical comment* but small dogs don't need to be trained properly.

Had this from lots of "westie" owners when they attack Max, most are normally met with my boot up their ****.

I know some horrible staffs as well, its just down to the owners.

I get lots of people scared about Max yet he is the softest dog I know. Its when I left him with the vet over night to get xray'd and when I went to pick him up I asked the vet how the dog behaved and did he try to bite him.

The vet laughed and said "hes a bit soft isn't he? When I went to put the needle in him he turned and "mouthed me" and wouldn't bite"
