Shifty, i really like the looseness of your work, very 'sketchy' but some awesome detail, as you can tell from mine im more of a physical painter, always canvas and pad, never really got into digital, what equipment/programs do you use and any advice for a digital n00b?:)

Thats great :D I take it the Giraffe is obscured by the cherry :p

The colours look fine to me!

Yeah the Giraffe is hiding :p

Well here's an apple! I found some additional tools in GIMP that's made the shading an highlighting far more effective. Still not quite right but hey ho!

Might try making something up...robot or something or try something man made rather than a fruit next

Edit - good god that compression is horrible :( messed up my highlights

I love looking through this thread. Some of the stuff is awesome.
This is another picture I've done. It's for my nephew, he loves spider-man.

Whilst I have no cash at all at the moment, I'm looking at getting a pad this summer.

What would be recommended to purchase? Budget will be low £50-£70 I'd reckon, and I don't mind buying second hand.

Thanks

There's an A5 size Wacom Graphire 3 Studio XL going on ebay just now for much cheapness. Dunno if I'm allowed to link or not, but I'm sure you'll find it.

You'll get a brand new Bamboo for that price. Anything bigger, even at second hand will be much more expensive I reckon.

What sort of price range are we talking about, and what sort of models would you recommend? I've got no experience in the tablet market, and whatever I buy I'll be keeping for the next year or so at least, so if it was warranted I'd set aside cash elsewhere.

I'm sure you are. Could you please link me, either here or through my trust.

Thank you.
