messed up my highlightsWhilst I have no cash at all at the moment, I'm looking at getting a pad this summer.
What would be recommended to purchase? Budget will be low £50-£70 I'd reckon, and I don't mind buying second hand.

You'll get a brand new Bamboo for that price. Anything bigger, even at second hand will be much more expensive I reckon.
