This did.
https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xft1/v/t34.0-12/11739574_944046124665_666969371_n.jpg?oh=baf9679774e62d25d6ec18095429d5ef&oe=55AED5D7[IMG]

I was on a fairly hot lap, didn't want to lift and because of the helmet I didn't recognise the sound of the detonation. I got out of it after it started getting fuel cut but by that point it had already blown the no3 piston.
I was rolling the car up the drive to connect a good battery for doing the compression test when I realised my mistake of leaving the door open and it hit the tap on the wall and creased the door nicely.
:( Such a lovely S15

BTW How much did it output before it blow up? During the repair/rebuild process are there any plans for mods/power increasment?

Only problem with that is the rear arches are designed to fit onto the veilside skirts, so to make any altercations means the whole rear end has to be replaced.

Ideally I'd love to have some top secret skirts and get some nur motosport arches, but for now this combo will have to do until I win the lottery

Not sure what kit is fitted onto this supra, but I love it.

Ridox front bumper and optional extra side skirts (which are on mine) plus a TRD rear spoiler
Nioce :)

Also Swmbo current car. Suzuki Ignis Sport with only 110BHP but only 900kg's. Huge amount of fun, ultra reliable and ultra cheap. A modern day 205 GTi.

Looks like a fun little car, time to do some quotes and check auto trader. :D

Edit...

Dat insurance premium

People seem to be getting JDM and Japaneese cars in general mixed up.

As long as its not Suzuki Swift or something along those lines, its all good. We can make exceptions for cars like that silver scooby. Looks mint, it would be a shame not to have it in this thread. :D

The JDM stuff is genuinely interesting as you don't see that many actually JDM cars and there is an increasing scene fad of pretending everything remotely Japanese is JDM. Therefore the idea of a thread filled only with actual JDM was pretty cool.

80% of my threads always go offtopic, I can't control it. :p

No it's just BMW boys trying to de-rail a thread. Some cars are built in Japan, are Japanese domestic market but have been officially imported to UK to be "classed" as a UK car. The "UK Spec" R34 GTR is case in point.

You have a point

Edit:

So many nice cars in 1 thread, I thought it would be a good idea to separate JDM cars from all the usual BMW's, Ford's and other cars. The idea came to my head when I saw Candyman post of the fiesta and R34, that R34 in that garage looked mean! :D

You're the first person that's said they don't like it to be honest, good to have a different opinion though. But the fact you think it's a beautiful car throws your comment out the window as even I know it's a big chubby lump that's far from being a beaut! :D

Well, when I don't like something I usually stay quiet to not upset anybody. But I'm not a big fan of that "lump" either, neither am I of the 2 tone colour choice. But if the owner likes it, than it doesn't matter what others think IMO.

A nice looking car such as GT-R usually only requires some nice detailing, different wheels and possibly a slight lowering.

Love that deep burgundy colour on the S14, fantastic looking car from what now seems a bygone era of great JPN sports cars.

S14, S15, R33, R34 and other Nissan's are ageless cars. The new cars don't look as good and they aren't as refined any more... :(

By the time I'll be able to get insured on a S15, they'll probably cost as much as the R34 GTR's now cost... :(

And now for something completely different!

New engine arrived at Doritech about 12. Swapped and running by 6. Rich is a true hero.

It's a mint little motor, car runs better than ever. Strong power, was lighting off the tyres in 3rd lol :D
Now since you've teased us, you need to post a picture of a fitted engine! :p

BTW What engine is that?

Tbh it looks exactly the same as the old one because I had to use the old rocker cover. It's a late model SR20DET from a SpecR s15. My old one was ropey and worn out and ultimately blown up, this one is mint.

Mileage? HP? :D

Japan used to make some great sports cars. Will they ever have such a huge array of sports cars again?

By looking at how Japanese car manufactures are going the answer is most likely NO. But when electric cars are a thing then maybe they'll risk at doing some alternatives. But I doubt it... Imagine if it was 1995 now, you could get so many great cars without bigger hassle. :(

my scooby

Nice, although I would change those rims to grey ones. I just don't like gold on cars/bikes... :p

BTW Why did they stop manufacturing the EVO? :( Biggest rival to scooby.
