New Maine **** kitten, he's huge for 12 weeks.

She has been an absolute star, been run over once resulting in a cracked claw - been to vets only for checkups/boosters jabs.

We think its because she has lived off tuna fish and chicken - only thing that's wrong with her is she is 100% deaf and that she drinks more milk than I do in brew's.

Will be sad to see her go, but last time was at vets no lumps, organs seem ok - so here's for the next year with her around.

Can you give me more details please (ie. is it raw chicken, cooked, canned tuna, fresh tuna)?

Your cat seems to have done very well with the food you have fed, so this is why I am interested.

We buy cooked chickens from the supermarket, leave the chicken on the bone as long as possible while she gets through it all - keep it from drying out in tinfoil.

Tuna is just tinned tuna chunks, john west styleeee - her breath rollox after it but she showing no signs of bad joints yet.

Here she is again, just took this now.... asleep as usual!!

Great news! One of my cats vanished for 8 days once - it does happen. We were beside ourselves with worry too.

So apart from chicken and tuna, do you feed her anything else? No cat food? Dry cat food?

I'm intrigued because obviously your diet is working nicely for your cat and I hold actual anecdotal evidence in higher regard than the marketing which cat food manufacturers subject us to.

I've always been told that feeding a cat natural food only can lead to lack of taurine, which in turn can lead to health problems.

My old cat lived to 21 on a diet of tuna, chicken and prawns. We tried him constantly on dry/wet cat food but couldn't get him to eat them so we caved in and just fed him the good stuff. Died due to a problem with his mouth preventing him from eating much and the vet declined to operate. Watching him die was one of the most upsetting moments I've experienced but I was happy to be with him when he passed away.
 
I love my cat. Just came in the cat flap, meowing away. I announce my presence upstairs, so he comes running up (still meowing like a mad thing) and jumps on my lap.

Within seconds he is purring, but then after giving him one of those scratches behind the ear that aggravates a cat's head-shaking, he shook his head and flung copious amounts of drool over me, my desk, my keyboard and some lecture notes. I love my cat.
