Show us your kitty cats

I would definitely second going with PetPlan. It's who my MC's are with and I have just made a claim with them for Shadow. It was for around £560 odd and they paid out within 2 weeks after submitting the claim with no problems. Do get their for life cover as it covers the cat for any condition for life which is great. Also if your cat develops an illness/condition then you are tied in with Petplan or whoever as nearly all the insurance companies will not cover pre existing conditions which is just stupid imo.

Here is a great link to more info on cat insurance complanies:

My vet will work directly with Petplan too. So there is no bother for me should I have to make a claim, they just deal with it all directly. Mat, you should check whether this applies with your vet too, it could help you decide who to go with.

Just spoke to the vet and they recommend PetPlan so I'll sort something out with them this evening I think. Ta.

Anyone watching the BBC's catwatch program?

watched the one last night, very interesting

we've got a cat flap but the cats wont use it so we use an elastic band to keep the flap up and they come and go as they please - they poke their faces out before they jump through :D

according to the documentary the reason they dont like to go through the flap with the flap down is because they cant see/hear/smell and danger outside

Was getting cross at the mum not teaching her baby boundaries when it came to the cat. She was acting like it was funny. Amazed the cat hadn't retaliated. No wonder he was hardly coming home.

Even my nephew at 9 months knows not to pull at his dog, or my two cats.

If you haven't done it yet and want the 2 months free, yell :)

Yeah - that ticked me off too. Though I have noticed and heard from friends that cats and dogs seem to be reluctant to lash out at babies - I wonder if they know that it's effectively just a kitten/puppy?

Nice to see the other lady working to give her cats prior warning of the baby.

Winston looking rather handsome and definitely not posing!

Just a heads up to anyone thinking of buying one of those GPS trackers, to see where their little darlings go,

http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/gift...l&utm_campaign=ENW-_2096302314&affil=thgemail

Currently only £19.99. Only for 24 hours mind.

So I got one of these to see what Peanut gets up too when he is out (Snoopy will not wear a collar)

After a lot of faffing around to get it work, it recorded Pea's evening antics last night before bed...needless to say, there is little wonder why he seems to be a bit tubby these days

edit: Snoopy would be much more interesting to see - if only she would tolerate a collar :(

I can't quite make it out. Is it the point he isn't travelling far or is being fed by neighbours? If the latter, then couldn't you ask them not to feed him?

All he is doing is going into next doors garden lol :p

I but it back on him this morning, so hopefully there might be some more exciting results

I need to check Dave will tolerate a collar again before I put it on him, or it runs the risk of getting lost :D

So in the past 6 weeks life has been all over the place what with moving twice and Tony had been living at the now ex girlfriends with her Mum feeding him a 100% wet diet.

As such, he now wont touch biscuits. I took him to the vet for his annual vaccinations and one of his teeth is on its way out and he's now pencilled in for a day to have his teeth properly cleaned and a LA to have one of them out. Brilliant.

She (the vet) asked me about his diet and I said it was 50/50 wet and dry for years but recently its been 100% wet and she asked if it was off the shelf stuff...

Long and short of it shes certain his bad teeth are due to the cruddy food. So he's booked in for the end of the month, the 30th and has an appointment the week before on the Sautrday for a check up. I've gone to naturesmenu.co.uk as my sister recommended them and order a months worth of pouches which was £31. Well its 24days worth, nearly a month.

I won't go through the benefits, you're all well versed. But I've since found out his little op if needed isn't covered by insurance, so fingers crossed this will shave off something off a potential £280 bill. Brilliant :p

Will let you know how he gets on with his food. I've also got plenty of pics to add of him when I get a chance!
