Cat in a plastic city.

Mind if I ask a few questions? I'm looking to get a new cat as mine died 18 months ago.

What's the exact breed name for these (with the dark smokey face) I know this breed has slightly different "models" for want of a better expression lol but I'm looking the same "model" as your two

How often do you brush them?

Did you get them from a breeder?

Am I looking at selling a kidney to afford one?

Are they affectionate as in do they like being petted? My last cat wasnt' a fan of being stroked and that really saddened me as I love a lapcat cuddle with a cat.

Do they shed a lot?

Thanks :)

One thing here.

If you want a lap-cat then I would very definitely NOT buy a kitten. The problem is that while you tell what some traits are going to be with a kitten, whether they are a lap-cat is not one of them. Speak to your local Cats Protection. Choosing a slightly older cat, it's personality will be well defined, and if you say you want a lap-cat they will be able to directly pair you up with a suitable cat.
Honestly, how they look is a cherry on top, but if you go by looks alone you are playing "personality roulette".
Besides, you will get a cat for £20 and it will be forever grateful to you. (Mostly, lol).
As a bonus you might get a pedigree. I remember my local Pets Protection had a pair of 1yr old Ragdolls recently and they asked £200 for the pair. But since you very specifically want a lap-cat then don't go for looks..it might be all you get.

Yeh, I know it's for the best and has to be done. Bluey came through his without any issues. Was back to his normal naughty antics within a day.

Shockingly, they are. If they were human they would be in bed for three days and whining like a lost puppy. Cats, oh no, it's playing "Lava Floor" within the hour.
