we've opted for this feeder https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C772HY4X/ref=twister_B0DK5GCXK4?_encoding=UTF8&th=1This was just before she jumped on Mitsy. They are together 24/7 now and I have no concerns anymore. She’s learnt the auto feeder too, handy for when we are away for a bit longer.
I trialled this one with Snowy and have now upgraded our other two auto feeders that were pre app/wifi days. The onboard timers were terrible on the old feeders, plus it’s great peace of mind that I can check I’ve set them appropriately and even add in extra feeds remotely. I also have a camera on all 3 so I check feeding time.
The water fountains have been a huge success too. They are drinking at last double the volume they did before them. It does mean I’m having to refresh the trays more often, but lovely to see them drinking lots of water.
I ended up getting this fountain (large volume, filters are cheap):
when big cat bit my missus and she was on the phone to 111, they asked if there was a reason the cat bit her, her reply was : he was planning that for years... - was good few sec silence from the operator...
Mine ignored her water fountain when we had one. She also now ignores her actual water bowl. Instead she will only drink out of a human glass that we leave on the kitchen floor. She turns the glass around with her paw to make the water ripple, and then drinks from it. It was bizarre to see her first do that. In summer she will only drink from the watering can in the garden so we have to keep that clean and topped up.
She LOVES her heated under-blanket though.

and it works. I can get up and go to the kitchen not beeing meowed to death asking to be fed haha
thats for our ground bound cats - that are fat and can't jump high lol
other skinny 2 jump high up to their bowl
how's that water fountain ? and how long does the battery last ?
we dont have any sockets where current bowls are, so only option would be battery powered.
thanks, MIght give it a goThe water fountain has been great so far, I have two of them. Battery seems to last a good 4-5 weeks or so. You can get the filters from a third party. It’s easy enough to recharge, just pop the pump unit out and plug it in. It just took a few days for our cats to get used to it.

That's why we put a throw on ours straight after we get up.Bert and Rusty seconds after successfully getting me out of bed to get their breakfast.
