Show Us Your Motors!

Finally got round to painting my wheels silver and fitting them to the car. Still waiting on the centre caps though!

Erm that would be 80mpg so I suspect something is off with your calculations a bit there :D

Remember the 1 Coupe only has a 52 litre tank.

Remember this is the internet, which means your car can do as many mpg as you wish :p

Haha, I'm not too sure how accurate it is, apologies :p I did about 450 miles @ 65mph just a steady drive without much traffic at all, trip was around 65mpg and then it's on about 490 miles now with a bit over 1/4 tank left after some town use. Either way it's less painful than the Focus I had! Good drive to get this toy though :) It soaked up the miles quite well for it's first proper run out.

No it's a friends. With some "period" wheels and a few bits tidied it'll be a nice car, I don't know loads about it but it's a "Robin Hood" and it's got a 2.1 Pinto, race cam, R1 bike carbs etc. It makes quite the racket and is just a road legal go kart :)

I don't think I'd want to own something like that but hopefully next year something old/80's would be good, even a MK3/4 basic Escort with a decent engine swap would be something I'd like I reckon!

Acme it's actually really well done. I was quite surprised how tidy everything is for a tin shed hobbyist car :)

I was mainly looking at the back which is a sheet of metal with lights and things randomly tacked on, and the roof which resembles a half collapsed tent. :p

ST-Line, R-Line, S-Line, AMG-Line, VXR-Line, M-Sport etc, are trim levels.
ST, R, S, AMG, VXR, M etc are not.

The Focus ST diesel threw a spanner in the works slightly, but they could hardly call it the Focus STD could they. Would be almost as silly as some car manufacturer calling their performance cars STI's! ... oh wait

Its quite simple really, you damn trolls. :p

The Mk 4 Mondeo ST diesel through a spanner in the works long before the Focus ST diesel did.

Also I've never heard of AMG-Line or VXR-Line before, are these new? Car manufacturers are getting stupid now.

Surely not more trim/engine/model debate

Technically Audi's S is still really trim/engine level - RS models are the only ones that are different enough to be a separate model.

I don't think so really, I mean the B6 S4 had a 4.2 V8, and the C6 S6 had a 5.0 V10. :D

I know its a bit different now but the basic point is still there. You can't buy a current A4 with the engine, suspension, etc, the current S4 has, so therefore it isn't a trim level.
