Show Us Your Motors!

My slow, boring, Granny-mobile post-maintenance wash yesterday.

Haha yes there is a Pokemon with my name. It's a crab like thing if I remember right.

Maybe I should paint the porch but it's not the most fun way to spend my weekend. I would rather be driving

I am going to presume that you are actually going to get the belts & Dephaser done asap then?

if that AUX belt snaps it will take the cam belt and kill the engine... You will have a nice bill to fix that.

I would get the belts done asap, and not at a normal garage or even at Renault... please get them done sooner rather than later, more so if you are going to track it.

It's not worth it, It's a £550 car. I can get a new engine for less then the cost of a genuine belt/pulley kit & labor cost. I can fit the engine myself.

The belt has no wear on it, even on the inside no cracking etc (I know it doesn't stop it snapping or breaking just because of that). There's no proof of it being done, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been, there's countless clio's that have it done with no proof. If it was a very clean, low mileage, sort after model which was worth a bit, I wouldn't hesitate to get it done straight away.

500 Abarth 595 collected yesterday so got a couple of better photo's. Went for a decent drive in it last night and couldn't stop grinning it's such a hilarious car to throw around, exhaust note is gorgeous too. Definitely feel we made the right choice between this and the main 2nd option which was the mk7 Fiesta ST, while the ST would've been a more sensible option for power and practicality we just got fed up of seeing them on every street corner and having a little exclusivity won in the end

Going to give it a thorough clean and protect this weekend as the PDI was a little lacklustre (Horribly streaked glass both inside and out for example), the colour is Campovolo Grey although it looks white in the pics.

As much as I tell myself they're a bit of a fashion thing, I really like the Abarth 500. Thankfully I'm unable to drive one - the seats don't adjust anywhere near far enough to allow my left leg to operate the clutch or my head to not touch the roof.

How tall are you? I'm roughly 6'1 and fit just fine.

Please tell me that is your girlfriends? :p

It's the GF's new daily but when together we'll be using it 99% of the time due to the ST not really being practical anymore :p

I'm considering picking up a set of Essesse springs to reduce the arch gap slightly.

followed a red one of those 595's in town yesterday, being "driven" by someone from the dealership to their lock up I think, still had the white plastic wrap on sections etc....

Looks and sounds brilliant for a little super mini! - reason I know it sounds great....He was driving it like a tool!
