Went for a bit of dinner with an old friend on Thursday and he turned up in his I8 and me in my R8.

Bit dark, but 2 different interpretations on 8's :D and no, it wasn't the entrance but an emergency exit .

Did you take it out for a spin?

I just don't get it but I still love my one. I took the M6 out again today and around london it feels sluggish compared to the i8.

Dump it, pointless car frankly when you have an I8.

640D with active dampers just more sensible car for around London, far less effort and far more relaxing.

Yep. I am trying to move it on.
I was following a M6 Grand Coupe up the M6 on Friday and though it looks striking I could not help thinking what's the point. Sure is very rapid, but it's too stiff, can't put the power down in bad conditions, be their road or weather and isn't that special to sit in or drive and costs as much (not that they ever sell them are the list price) more than a 3rd world country based on BMW's ludicrous made up price model.

This I can confirm. Wafty is the word I believe.

Doc, it's Comfort + you want, not Comfort. Adds a different level of damping, big improvement.
