Show Us Your Motors!

I think that looks tidy, with the exception of the stupid e shaped headlights. Lose the daft "tail" of the e and it'd look 100000x better.

Because I realised I didn't like it as much as I thought I did after I bought it. It looked cool for a while. :p

It was mostly bought for the suspension and the performance mods and exhaust etc rather than the visual mods, but naturally the engine is screwed and the suspension wasn't stellar either with one incorrect shock etc.

All in all a poor purchase again, so trying to make the best of it and move things along.

I bought a Renault *runs*

Nice Colour! looks very good on it.
The new Megane looks massively wide and bulky for a middle sized hatchback. What engine and bhp has It got?
Someone needs to come up with a de badging mod for that humungus badge on the grill though [/QUOTE]

Could be a challenge with it being so smokey at the moment. I will likely tidy it up a bit, put minimal money into it, see if I can improve the oil burning with some different oil and stuff, and then flip it.

A 1.6 petrol turbo, 205 bhp with a 7 speed dual clutch transmission. Not a rocket but fun enough for public roads. It has 4 wheel steering as well

Personally I think they are the nicest looking new mid size hatchback by far, hence why I bought it :p (I love the colour as well). The brief was to get a larger 5 door automatic car compared with my Fiesta St but still with the same amount of fun/power. My mind said get an older DSG golf gti (although the styling of a golf bores me to tears) or a similar age Leon FR. Heart said this :D. Also, its tricky to find a Leon or Golf with all the spec that this has.

205 bhp is impressive from a 1.6 Turbo. Certainly more than enough power. They are a very good looking car though I agree they are more interesting than the sea of Golf's and Leon's.
Has this replaced your Fiesta? The price of the Megane is borderline what a 250bhp Focus ST would have cost minus the option of DSG of course but manual is more fun

Some of the modern Renaults are genuinely great looking cars. The Talisman in particular looks fantastic IMO.
I had to actually Google what a Talisman looks like I've never seen one lol.
What a great looking motor  much better looking than it's rivals

Definitely was set on an automatic. Also, the Focus is getting on a bit now (due to be replaced next year I think?) where as the Megane was all new and only came out the middle of last year (didn't really want to buy a nearly new one only for it be replaced next year). It has a much nicer interior in my opinion and it looks much nicer outside as well. Cheapest 1 year old Focus ST-3 on autotrader nationally is still 2k more expensive as well, and the Megane still has more toys. 1 year more warranty on the Megane as well. Granted the Focus is faster (but there is only 0.4 seconds in it in the 0-60 times for example).

Also, I am still a 10 year child deep down really and it has launch control and when you press the RS drive button all the ambient lighting turns red and the instrument screen (It has a 7 inch customisable screen, instead of analogue dials) changes to red/sports mode as well :p

I agree, Renault have really stepped up their designs over the last few years. They have been pretty anonymous in the design stakes for years before that though.
