Took the grandad wagon out for a drive to a little known lane near my parents!

I aint not photographer and was aware that someone could have come over the crest at any moment....

It really was just a get out snap snap and get back in I didn't really think to much about it. I may go back one day for some better pictures.

Also no 1UZ has 300HP. The engine is only rated at 290 and most of them only make 270~.

But, turbo would see decent power, and not that costly to do?

Weirdly I quite like the idea of a Mk1 IS200 with a V8.

For a turbo build you'd ideally want the earlier non VVTI 1UZ.

Im sure theres someone building an IS200 with VVTI 1UZ with a Turbo on Retro Rides.. Think its a VERY tight squeeze

Just found the thread - turns out the same dude who built that V8 IS200 is the one doing the turbo build! Looks like he sold it a few years ago to fund a house purchase and is now back being a nutter.

It'll be mental when completed, I love the old shape IS cars more than the more modern stuff, and it should be much lighter than a GS/LS as well as having a manual box and LSD if its the IS200 Sport?
