More often than not stolen to break in some dodgy back street yard and then parts sold on ebay. Abarths are the same - so many are stolen just to be broken.

To be fair, he kind of has a point, even if he's gone out of his way to offend R owners in phrasing it. To the casual observer, a Golf R doesn't look much different to a normal Golf - a rather ordinary looking, ubiquitous hatchback, that happens to go like absolute stink. I thought that was the whole appeal? And that's no doubt why it appeals to some criminals - not just because it's fast.

it’s quick at 276 bhp, and they discontinued them, and yeah there aren’t loads and loads on the road.

my one gripe is that the 20” wheels mean the turning circle for parking etc isn’t the greatest, but it’s a issue I can live with

Standard wheels are 18" and I thought the power was 265bhp. Will have lost a few horses anyway

This VXR has 20" rims, and the official BHP is 276bhp. But your right, will be a couple less now..

18s were standard on the VXR, but were rare as most spec'd the Aero pack which included 20" wheels and some additional bodykit.
