Keep meaning to go down there for a drive? Got any decent routes? Pm if it's better that way :) not too far from me.

I really just use the forest as a convenient place to head on my drives, so I don't often spend a lot of time on the forest itself. However, here's a link to the approximate route I took this morning...I actually live Rochester way, so I've put the start and end points where the main "fun" bit of driving was, off the main roads.
Some of the route we've done before in the south-eastern OcUK meetups. Those photos were taken just off Crowborough Road, at the southern most point of the route - there's several gravel car parks along it. But basically, anywhere in the vicinity of this route you can find nice roads and scenery, so I usually head out that way when driving.

Is that a deer?

Cow! The section of road I was parked off passes through a grazing area, with cattle grids at each end. Usually it's sheep, but this morning, there were cows everywhere. At that time in the morning, I actually had to navigate round a couple stood in the middle of the road.

Perfect! Thanks, I'll go that way soon! I usually go a272 as it's a good fun road with some decent corners but want to try something new

Well... I turn 35 at the end of the month and have a toddler, a teenager, 2 dogs, a house I don't live in (and havent for a decade) being renovated to finally get rid of it and therefore no money; so when my Civic Type-S was written off in March after 7 years my needs for a bigger car were brought forward prematurely.

So today I picked up an 09 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Titanium X for £2600.

It's done 150k however wears those miles very very well. I had the radio off for most of the drive home and there wasn't a single rattle, knock or squeak. Never had a diesel before but driven a few here and there and I'm surprised how much I don't hate it.

It's got Ford history up till about 2017 and has had the belts, clutch and flywheel done. It's not the car I want but the least compromise I could come up with given a very modest budget. I tried hard to steer away from a diesel as I don't really do the miles but circumstances might change. It should do better mpg than my 1.8 petrol Civic so fuel cost should fall around the same place as that so I'm not too bothered. We like to hike, camp and see the country so it'll serve us well when the world calms down, I'm looking forward to it.

Couple interior shots in the spoiler (becasue nobody wants photo spam of a Mundano!). Aside from the shiny steering wheel the interior is pretty clean and tidy. I've seen lower milage cars online with the buttons completely worn off.

I don't see many Mondeos around these days, which is a shame, I think they're still a handsome looking vehicle. Certainly a lot of car and a great buy for that money.
