Show Us Your Motors!

It’s just a shame the shine lasts about 2 seconds this time of year. Looks like a more forgiving colour at least. These have aged well.
It's back in the garage for now. I've sold the Crown so will be driving the Honda a lot more until I get/find a replacement for the Crown.

This colour is a pain, very dark blue so everything shows on it... Not much different to the black on the Crown.

Still looks good for a 17 year old car!

What are your repair/runnings costs like?

Nothing has gone wrong with it bar the brake caliper over the 3+ years I've had it I service it yearly and that is it. Over its life it has had no major repairs bar servicing and 2 brake calipers on the rear. One in my ownership, one before me. Last service was £400 but had clutch fluid replacement and AC regas included, usually they're around 200-250/year. They're reliable cars. Rust is what kills them really but mine has only done 35k miles and is usually locked up in the garage over winter.

Thanks! It looks like it’s really brought out the best in your dark blue paint! Mines dark blue also and want to replicate this.

The paint does pop with it on! Not going to lie, it looks good without the wax too as it's been recently corrected so is pretty glossy and deep without the wax.

Donnington track day - perfect weather and pretty quiet!

Cant believe how good this thing is not the fastest on straight bits but it’s easily dealing with some of the heavier 500-600HP stuff and doing well against all the track stuff testing here. So well balanced !

AH so that was you? :D
I was there, saw your car there.
You are right was a great day, weather was ok and the track wasn't busy

Yep was a good day for me, the Mrs did not enjoy it as much as unfortunately a lot of people were a little impatient as it was her first track day and as such she was slowest car on circuit, she got a little upset as some people were just doing daft and dangerous moves in corners instead of waiting for the straight bits, but I personally loved it. :D

Yeah in general was a really good day, the only problem I saw was a Nissan GTR overtaking on corners and on the wrong side but I saw the marshals having a long talk with him.

Ah yes the red one, a lot of people were complaining about him, he overtook us and he was practically a inch from our front wing as he did up after the old hairpin, I told the Mrs to go offline so he could pass and he still nearly hit us.

For me it was awesome, but for some slower people, the faster people seemed to be treating it like a race or lap timing, but you get that and for me its never an issue, but for someone with little experiencing or their first day it can make their day not so much fun plus the faster people if anything should be cautious because its more likely that a novice won't spot them and just take their line and turn in, more chance of car contact.

I'm thinking celsior or maybe a Toyota crown majesta either 206 or older 186.

4.3 or 4.6 v8s and Toyota reliability with Japanese quirkiness

Interesting, I really liked my Lexus ISF so I totally get the Toyota reliability and Jap quirkiness. The 206 looks good, the 186 umm less so ;)

186 is odd.. some angles I like it others it looks a bit too.. basic "car" like with no character if that makes sense? Reminds me of s class or mayback
