Show Us Your Motors!

Anyone have an idea what was going on near Brands Hatch today? Convoy after convoy of maccas, lambos, tvrs, ferraris. Some really lovely metal!
I came past Brands on my way home from a morning jaunt a couple of hours ago. Lots of traffic and parking signs out as usual, but on the website the calendar says private event. Could have been that or might have been an unrelated car club or something? See that quite often around that area.

Edit: ignore. Didn't see you posted yesterday. Signs I saw were probably just not take down yet.

Car is now sold and gone to a 16 year old lad who is about to turn 17. Nice people but I just hope he doesn't wrap it around a lamp post. :p

He will, be prepared :p

Shocked if a 17 year old would be able to insure it to be honest... But maybe its one of those insurance anomalies because they are unusual?

mummy and daddy insurance I suspect. Otherwise thats surely going to be like 3-4k for a 17 yr old.

Beautiful sky over the Ashdown Forest this morning.

Unfortunately, I was also reminded how filthy my windscreen is when I rounded a corner into a shaft of low sunlight and couldn't see a bloody thing :D
I had a GT86 for 3 years. Absolutely brilliant. Just made me smile every time I drove it. I'm guessing the GR is the same.
Pulling out of wet junctions at 10mph sideways never got boring.

They are surprisingly cheap to insure actually. The parts on it are optional extras so not modifications. I was doing quotes for my daughter next year and Mito 155, Punto Sporting's and even early 500 Abarth's were less than 1500 to insure. Her main driver with us as named drivers.

@Conscript Mad jealous of those photos. Mine is at Derby at the moment and will be a September reg. Cash in the bank waiting and I hope I will have it in two to three weeks. Have already been eyeing up the TRD wing and big brake kits :P.

With how Insurance Works - I’d be surprised if it isn’t cheaper than say a 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 (75BHP - 90BHP) Corsa, Fiesta etc to be honest.

Colour me shocked. Thought it didn't matter what car, those age groups get penalised regardless. I remember my first year insurance being 2k and that was around 16 years ago.

Yeah I saw some of your posts about brakes on the Zoo forum. Are you going to need a big brake kit from the off? From what I gather you only really need them for really serious track work and most start with just better pads and fluid.
