Not quiet. It happens to have a pretty damn awesome engine in it, nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy that noise a little more.

An exhuast is a pretty trivial amount of money. It'll happen only if I find something that meets my specific requirements, thats all. The very same engine with the right exhuast sounds pretty fantastic.

It'll keep me interested until the saving is complete for the next car.

Not really, no. The ride is a bit harsh for it to be a true cruiser.

Do you actually know anything about the BMW Sport range?

They are far from lazy, and nor are they cruisers. They are very capable cross purpose all rounders, some of the best in the business infact. You buy one because you want a sporty all rounder with space and load capacity, not for cruising. A sports exhaust totally fits the cars ethos.
