If you bought it with your own money, then yes ...massive abuse. If it's a company car of some sort then nope ...I don't foresee much if any.

no its because the bumper is plastic and the wing is metal

All vauxhalls can suffer from it.

Granted you can only really see it on certain angles, but the difference is there.

Thats not to say vauxhall paint is the only one that isnt perfect out of the factory however. Some of the orange peel i've seen on £50,000 + BMWs is atrocious.
 
Yeah the looks are really growing on me too. My neighbour also has one in dark grey, looks lovely but I think the white and black combination works really good. :cool:

Is that not just a variation in light reflection because the bumper is plastic therefore not as shiny and reflective as the body?

No, practically all cars have steel body and plastic bumpers, do they all have mismatched paint?

This is what happens when you cut corners with painting, especially metallics. If you want the colour to match you need to spray it exactly the same. That means a uniform colour primer on everything, spraying the same number of coats, at the same air pressure, from the same distance, in the same orientation. Other manufacturers do not have this problem, no excuse really.
 
How would the light be shining through the paint? That's just lolvauxhall paint, you've just got to look at the number of pink vauxhaulls around now!
 
It is not just Vauxhall, many manufactures have this problem. Even more so with pearlescent paint, below is my first Focus RS which I declined unsurprisingly.

This happens because Ford paint the body of the car, but the bumpers / side skirts are painted by a third party at the cheapest price possible. I'm not sure if other manufactures do this?

To be fair, Ford seems to be OK with metallics, its mainly just the pearlescent's they struggle with. Although the newer Green RS's are much better now.

A lot of manufacturers sell the plastic parts pre-painted so I assume they are made as so and not painted with the car.

Oddly, my EP3 CTR didn't have this issue but similar ones did. Being silver you can tell really easily but mine wasn't too bad. Possibly had been re-painted before but considering the pullet hole sized stone chips I picked up, I doubt it, unless other body shops use Crayola paint too!

Forget the paint, you would hardly ever notice, it looks very smart :)

Thanks for the compliments. I dont worry about the paint as the chaps on here have explained why it happens very clearly. Saves me now telling me boss his Silver A4 looks like it had been hit front and back;)

I suppose in the Black it is hardly noticable but it was just too much hassle for me to keep clean.:p
