And yes, the wonky-coloured headlight indicators are getting sorted when my bulbs arrive !

I don't think a bulb is going to fix your problem unfortunately. This is a very common modification amongst ford owners known as de-tango'ing'
Looks like the orange reflector lens has been taken off the left hand headlight, but has not been done on the right hand one. So by simply putting an orange bulb in the left one, this won't get the symmetrical headlights you are after.
My advice would be to source another headlight, or do the mod yourself. Quite easy job with a knife, clear indicator lens and some sealant.
