The 197 bhp version drives ok, but needs a good rev to get it to stay on the boil. Handles pretty well. It's looks suggest it is a lot quicker than it actually is. Neighbour has a white one with a few RC Line extras on it, 19"'s, quad exhaust tailpipes. Looks fantastic, a bit humdrum to drive considering its cost ( he bought it brand new  ).

That garage has given 15 years of pain and heartache. Everytime I drive past I just want to jump out and smear myself over all the cars, the windows and the tarmac. The experience is more like a skirt blowing up in the wind, just a fleeting glimpse and it's gone until the next time I'm lucky enough to pass by...

Reminds me of a garage close to me, drive past twice every day they have sold everything from RS200's, Enzos, F40's to Honda F1 Cars, http://www.monksheathprestige.com/used_cars.php?orderby=price_desc

Makes my mornings along with the McLaren garage which has an 80's F1 car in at the moment.

Had this Fiesta Metal a couple of weeks now. It's quite a nice step up from the ST which preceded it in everything bar performance.

Coming from a Prefacelift ST with no nice electrical gubbins at all it's rather nice to have voice control, bluetooth, iPhone music syncing through bluetooth, keyless entry and start, auto wipers/headlights, folding mirrors, electronic auto adjusting steering (which can take some getting used too) and parking sensors (not that you'd need on a car this small). The seats are so ridiculously comfortable and also heated which is a plus for cold mornings. The economy is a definite step up from the ST at 44-46mpg from 32.

It's amazing what they put in a "bottom end" car nowadays. With all the electrical gubbins inside it's also got some nice touches to avoid any mishaps like EBD, Traction Control and Stability Management.

Definitely excited for when the ST comes about, i reckon it's going to be rather special.

My only complaint bar the performance (and maybe electronic PAS) is that it's almost too easy to drive. I just hope it doesn't get boring.

Thanks!

It's a 1.6 Ti VCT (Just hit "Ti VCT" yo!) which generates 132bhp. The car is really screaming for the Turbo 1.6 180bhp.

Looks really good, might end with one of these when it becomes ridiculously expensive to run my Focus ST. Do they only come with black alloys? I'm not the biggest fan of gloss black allots that's all, would prefer silver...

Also what other colours does this spec come in? Just white?

Silver alloys are an option. Being a special edition of 1000 they all come with black alloys standard. Ridiculously it costs £75 to have silver alloys even though they're exactly the same but silver. The bad thing is it looks like they've been really lazy when spraying the black alloys as pretty much only the fronts have been sprayed and the inner alloy is pretty much just all overspray.

Other colours (£495 option for metallic) are midnight sky and black. Midnight sky looks really awful with the black rims in the flesh and i feel black doesn't have as much presence as "recession" white in my opinion. Only limited colours due to it being a limited run. I'm with you though, just something about silver cars!

Not quite mine but my fathers new car, thought I'd share as it's something a little different :) Only this pic for now, will get more when it comes on Tuesday. Traded in an MX5 for it so I'm a little sceptical for now, will have to see how it goes !

Have to say these really do look quite striking, if a bit of an Audi TT rip off. Shame about the badge though :p

Fiesta looks good apart from the horrid blue/grey dash! (Or is it just the light?)

I've got one too, it looks awful in photos, like the colours are clashing, but in real life it seems fine  Mainly a problem if you use a flash on your camera.

It looks grey in real life and the piano black bits of the interior are really nice. Prefer it to the silver on the regular Zetec S (there's one almost identical on my drive I can compare to!)

I just did a ~1500 mile round trip in my Metal and it's surprisingly comfortable. Seats were great, engine has plenty of poke, even at high speeds. Ride can be a bit harsh, pot-hole avoidance is a top priority, and the low profile tyres on the Metal produce a little more road noise than the Zetec S, but it's way quieter than a standard trim Astra for example. It drives like a hot hatch if you want but can be as pleasant as a mid-sized car on long runs. It takes the best bits of the Mk7 Fiesta but adds some of the extra power it needs and some really nice unexpected extras. These will make a top buy second hand imo, not just saying that to boost the value of mine...!

Like the white, I bought one from stock and all they had left was black, but that probably would have been my choice anyway.

I was going to say that it's not actually that colour. It's definitely a shade of black and not at all blue. It looks like a weird type of material in the flesh. Might be throwing the light. :p

I thought the ride was pretty soft personally but then again I'm used to coilovers!
