Show Us Your Motors!

Seeing pics of that has made me sad in realising how much of a sorry state mine looks at the moment!

I will clean it next weekend! (he says in hope)

What are Alfa playing at with that wheel design? Taking a page out of Vauxhall's book I see!

Other than the wheels (which are ASBO material :p), looks rather fine :p

I like them with the black paintwork..mate at work has an alfa red one and they dont seem to contrast as much.

cwhitehead, did you detail it when Mark owned it? Or has it been more recently since Mike bought it?

Nice car all the same. I know Mike (current owner) but have never seen it in person.

Mike, hes one of my friends did it as a favour as it was pretty much grey and full of swirls when he got it, has it's body problems on the lower doors but amazing car for history!

Not his old 420 tub in your sig is it?

Ahhhh, gotya :) Small world.

No, my red one isn't the one he was selling although I did go and have a look at it before I got my green 420.

It had a very bad oil leak from the HG and the gearbox was noisy and at the time, I just didn't have the knowledge to fix it myself.

I remember the problems well, he had to get rid of the grey 220 tub red 220gsi and red 420 tub all at once in a rush from what i remember he would have fixed himself but i think time caught up owning all 3 at once.

I remember the red 220, that was really smart. I saw the grey 220 turbo a couple of times when I lived in Preston too.

He had quite the collection :D

I've got 2 420s at the moment. A red one and a green one. I've had the green one for just over 5 years which for the last 2 it's been undergoing some fairly hefty work.

There's a thread on here about if if you're interested.

Anyway, I don't want to derail this thread too much but if you're on RT, catch me on there. Same username :)

Had this about 4 weeks now and absolutely loving it (came from a 2.7 Boxster for 4 years).

My only plans for it are replacing the alloys with the thinner 5 spoke Carrera alloys.
