Show Us Your Motors!

The wife & myself are really happy with the new car, and that's all the matters.

But one of the reasons is that you try putting this pram in a fiesta :D

He's bought the CMAX now, he's hardly going to take it back and buy a Civic Type-R because OcUK thinks he's boring. It could be worse, the Cmax is a decent enough car.

Genuine question: what sways people in the direction of something like a CMAX for a family car instead of a Mondeo? Does it being slightly higher bring any benefits?

(I'm referring to second-hand, not new)

Don't have to bend down to get heavy child seats in i guess. I can only assume it's easier to get kids in and out, load the car etc...

You know, the easiest car to get my toddler in and out of through the years was a MK5 3 door golf! the shear size of the doors and being able to tilt the front seat gave oodles of room in comparison to the 5 door i unfortunately replaced it with and other cars we've used in the past. (5series, X-type and Rav4). You really appreciate being able to fit in behind the passenger seat while trying to strap in a wriggling toddler when its tipping it down!

Even my GTO is easier to get her strapped in than most 5 doors and has the bonus of her being able to get her self in and out thanks to how low it is.

Cant comment on the Cmax but i hope it has good access to the rear seats as access is far more important than space imo:)

You don't say.

When you have kids your needs relating to practicality change massively. With 1 child the amount of stuff you have to take with you is ridiculous, let alone 2 young children.

Fine, it's not a car you would chose but the extra space of a CMAX would come in handy. I hear they are competent cars too.

Seems like you have very little experience of the subject and had to make a comment for the sake of it whether you were trying to be funny or otherwise.

mysticsniper took the comment in jest, you do not need to get offended on anyone else's behalf. Most prams are the size of small horses so I understand the necessity of such a purchase, again thanks for pointing out the obvious.

I haven't taken offense on anyone's behalf  You made a daft comment and I replied to it.

I dont have a family and I'm currently driving the new Zafira Tourer, even though I dont need it. I am very much liking the high driving position, the easy access, and the general feeling of space inside. In SRI spec with 19"s it even handles pretty well. :)

Not a very good pic at all but here is my R53 MINI Cooper S Checkmate. I've had it a couple of months now - I wanted something fun and fun it definitely is. :D

I'm planning a few subtle mods such as aero grille, possibly different wheels, 15% supercharger pulley and a Dave.f airbox.

I'll get some better pics soon. The roof, mirrors and stripes are actually silver but they look white in the photos.
