Just gave the car a quick wash before it started to bucket down!

Will have had the car 4 weeks on Tuesday and covered Approx 3,000 miles and love it! great to drive the distances and on a 500 round trip yesterday I managed an indicated 61mpg.

I do have an issue where between 60 - 80mph which we believe is tyre noise. The garage haven't been able to pinpoint it so far as both front tyres have been changed, they are fitting 2 new rear tyres on Tuesday so fingers crossed it will solve it...4 brand new tyres isn't a bad deal either!

Also at 1000bhp it is a weapon.

Pax Rides - Probably my favourite thing to do so there will definitely be pax rides in the future but I want to get used to the new power level a little before I start doing them.

Are you changing the gearing at all?

Nope, it max's out at 220mph but anything over 195mph starts to get scary (did a "0-206mph in 36sec" vid on youtube), plus tyres/engine etc can have a much higher chance of failure when operating at those top speeds.

What the **** have you done to it?

All the info is here - https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18681550 - and I've just updated it. That thread will be updated once I get the car back on the 22nd!

Fitted some different wheels and some wind deflectors but pretty much the same!

The Police used to have a few of them, might still have them, I'm not sure... :)

Silver ones, I think with non VXR wheels, de-badged etc.

Almost the same thing. :p

Though I just looked and Yorkshire Police had a couple of actual VXR's. :) (not the ones I was thinking of, those were probably not VXR's as you say, hence no vxr wheels etc...)

got bored and fancied a v10 again, good value for money tbh :) the interior while is now out of date, would not be out of place on a 13/14 car its really very nice

Love it! Please keep us updated on your ownership, have a big soft spot for the S8 :)

Nope, it max's out at 220mph but anything over 195mph starts to get scary (did a "0-206mph in 36sec" vid on youtube), plus tyres/engine etc can have a much higher chance of failure when operating at those top speeds.

Having done 160MPH in my car the other day and finding it rather swift, think I would genuinely soil my pants at 220MPH.

I was honestly surprised how "normal" it felt up to 190-ish but past that, the mixture of wind noise the car starting to feel a little light up front made for a squeaky bum :D

It also helps that, with the power, it doesn't take long to get to those speeds, where as if I had to spend 90 seconds going from say 170 to 206mph I'd have never done it.
