Show Us Your Motors!

My Spec C arrived at Pacific Coast JDM, looks great. Ive had a load of pics and videos sent over and Derek also took it for a 20min drive and gave a personal little video. Not much on the todo list, a few wee cosmetic things mainly.

Turns out this one has AC delete, no spoiler, basic seats, 17's, standard keys (not proximity) - probably the spec I would have chosen in my warped mind. Spec is great overall on the Spec C, looking forward to it.

Have a dilemma though, it has a great looking standard exhaust but comes with a new looking Blitz Nur Spec exhaust. Not sure what to do with it, dont know if its worth getting it shipped separate or not

Is that the company you use then just pick it up from the docks on a trailer and IVA the car when it comes over? I have a real hankering for an early 90's Alto Works but all the stuff over here in the UK is pretty crap!

Pacific Coast JDM are the Japanese agent, they have the car and are awaiting shipping. Once its here, you use a shipping agent (if you want) to clear customs and release from port, I use JC shipping... then its a case of collecting it.

Id be happy to guide you through it. Shipping costs are a bit pants, but if you get a pre-1995 you'll pay a lot less duty, I think its only 5%

Suppose it makes sense to give the option when having thinner glass, aluminium parts to save weight. I knew it didn't have it when bidding.

It was built for homologation purposes, for me, on a car like this, air con is low on the list.

You could add AC, fancy seats, proximity keys and the big spoiler, but that kind of defeats the purpose for me.

Just had an inspection and dropped of for 5th year service, all clear and only £665. :)
Oof wow!

Collected from servicing and went for a drive in the glorious weather perfect for a convertible:

Still think I’ve got best colour possible just love the liquid effect it has and sun just makes it pop. :)

Don't think you could ever get bored of that colour

First proper drive out after getting the car back from Abbey Motorsport. Full check over and clean bill of health including new injectors and fuel pump, as these were maxed out for what the car was running.

Although the car is very unmolested and understated, someone had the foresight to put some hybrid Garetts on it at some point (stock R32 turbos have ceramic wheels and don't cope well)

0.8 to 1.2 bar in 7 to 10 business days, just how we like it.

What are the running costs like? I heard that it costs a fortune to run but it's an EV
Unless Audi charge thousands for brake fluid or it munches through a set of tyres in 5000 miles?

Well, only had it since December and costs so far (apart from electric to charge or) have been £0

It's through a Company Car Salary Sacrifice Scheme administered by Octopus so the monthly cost includes insurance, servicing, MOT, roadside recovery and tyre so, in theory, it should be £0

I can imagine anything related to maintenance or repair would be pricey !!
