Show Us Your Motors!

Picked up a replacement for the Fiesta track car yesterday. Mégane 225 Cup.

I was looking for an RC initially but there’s so few for sale and nothing ever had enough of the boxes I wanted ticked for my budget (only ever Takumi models from the 2020’s nearer to £25-30k) so I gave up for saloon life.

I’d love an LC but for context after selling my Honda privately this IS cost about £12k (72k miles) so… not quite in my budget range! :D
I'm considering one of these, did you do any research into the hybrid battery and the cost if it fails? from what i've seen the replacement is quite pricey but you can get a recon battery a lot cheaper, cant seem to find a ballpark figure though, also heard they can last the life of the car or 10 years or 15 years......

As long as it has a full Lexus service history and you continue to service it at Lexus, it will be under warranty for 10 years.

Hi there

Well learn something every day went to a Cars & Coffee today, video below incoming.

McLaren got a lot of attention and another owner informed me he thinks my car is 1 of 16 worldwide exclusive batch of MSO equipped cars, I personally just thought MSO stuff was tick box options but turns out not the case and it went to another factory for MSO treatment as my car has all criteria:

  • MSO Bespoke CF sills with Corsa Red ‘MSO’ logo.
  • MSO Bespoke Contrast Stitch in Bright Red applied to all decorative stitch lines.
  • MSO Bespoke Embroidered headrests with MSO logo in Bright Red.
  • MSO Bespoke Steering Wheel – Carbon Black Alcantara with Bright Red Leather 12 O’clock marker.
  • MSO Bespoke Exterior Black Pack.
  • MSO Bespoke Throttle Pedal with MSO logo laser etched.
  • MSO Bespoke Key Backs – Body coloured with ‘MSO’ electroform.
  • MSO Bespoke Floor Mats – Black Carpet with Bright Red Leather binding, carbon black contrast stitch and MSO badge.

Does not really change anything but explains the near 300k price tag I guess and of course some pictures in the sun:

Glorious Easter Sunday and had the McLaren nearly three years and still not selling it bloody epic every time I drive it the car scares me and is such a thrill to drive. Best McLaren road car for me I’d only replace with a P1 but cannot afford and probably not a model one should drive daily. :D

No for the following reasons:
- Warranty till 100k miles / 10 years and I’ll have probably traded it in for something else by then
- Toyota/Lexus hybrids have been around forever and seem to live at the top of reliability ratings
- Real life shows countless examples of older models, be that someone’s daily or innumerable cabbies driving Priuses with moon miles and beyond

It seems you’d have to be particularly unlucky to get a lemon.

Harry Metcalfe recently made a video on MSO when he took his 650S there if you've not seen it

Best looking R8 model in the best colour IMO, they got it right immediately with that thing. The later revisions and models mostly looked good, but the OG looks the best.
Dark colour, silver blades, 5 (10?) spoke wheels, understated and slick in a way most supercars aren't.

I absolutely love it as it is three cars in one, supercar, GT and sports car.
Agreed the OG is best! I did borrow an OG V10 Plus S-Tronic, different league performance wise, but it felt no faster (speedo said otherwise), the V8 manual is such an engaging drive and feels ballistic fast without actually been that fast, what makes it great, delivers the thrills and excitement whilst keeping the license safe. :)
