Just ordered X-Files season 6 about 20 mins ago. Along with 7, 8 and 9. That will complete the collection for me .

Then you'll definately see it. I went from 1280x1024 on a 17" TFT to the Samsung HDTV above, and there is a bit of a drop in res. You lose a bit vertically, but gain a bit horizontally. Also with the panel being larger, the pixels are bigger giving an impression of an even lower resolution. I'm very fussy with resolutions/frame rates and the like, and I boxed my 17" TFT up ready for sale within an hour of testing the Samsung - the positives far outweigh the slight drop in res. That, and I just dont have enough room on my desk!

What settings you using for your pc? I think my screen is giving me eyestrain. Ive currently reset it using the PC autoadjust which is 60/40 contrast/brightness.

Yay, just got mine, plus a Joytech VGA cable so I currently have it connected to my LG1715S 17" TFT monitor and Creative Labs 4.1 Inspire speakers (only front 2 and the subwoofer work atm). Apologies for the darker screens but the flash did that, which I kept on for more detailed pics.

How did you know it was the BDX and not the BD?
The 'X' means 'refurbished' model .

anywho, i am about to embark on a quest of purchasing a sammy R73 model like that, i have seen a 40" in action on HD content, how is the 26" ? any problems or flaws?

No spontaneous fires just yet

yeah i like it! tried it over component with the 360 but the image didnt look all that sharp, kinda blocky and the edges seemed to stand out a bit much for my liking, but looks the sex via VGA even if the colours are slightly washed out.

and the damn thing is a dust magnet! good job it came with its own cleaning cloth
