Nice setup, but isn't the aspect ratio on the TV a little...off?

Looks like you've got black borders top and bottom where it should be full screen?

Here's my setup. Not a great set-up for Xbox 360 per se but I can't afford a widescreen TV :(

Gonna have probs getting out the door. Im assuming that door opens outwards, if it opens inwards you could be out a few quid if it knocked something over.

Now that I've jumped on the HDTV band wagon I thought I'd post a picture of my new setup.

The screen is a Samsung 940MW which I'm really chuffed with. It's not that big but as I only sit 3-4 feet away so it doesn't matter. It's got component, VGA, DVI (DHCP complient), S-vhs, scart and composite connections, so just about everything you need!

I see loads of you are using the popular samsung HDTV's for your xbox 360's. I am considering getting the 27" one to use as a tv/monitor for my pc.

I thought this would be a good place to ask as im sure most of you are using your samys as monitors to. How does it preform as a monitor? How does it look in pc games?

I am used to using a nice CRt and playing games at 1280*1024. Do pc games still look amazing with the weird and lower resolutions of this tv?

Its 26inch not 27 :p

This TV is fantastic. For the 360 its great and its just as good as a PC monitor. The only two issues I see are it only comes with VGA though not being a CRT it doesn't suffer from geometry problems, and bright red text bleeds a tiny bit. I don't care but it might be worth seeing one in the shops and seeing if its annoying to you. To be honest you don't notice the 'drop' from *1024 to *768 as you gain so much horizontally.

It is great when PC games support widescreen, but be prepared to play a lot of games either stretched or in a box.

It only comes with VGA? No DVI?

Does it support HD through the vga though? Ie if and when i get a HD drive for my pc, will i be able to get hd picture on the tv via the vga connection?

has HDMI input so a DVI to HDMI cables would work from your graphics card i think.

Sorry I should have been more specific. It has stanard tv leads, component, VGA and HDMI, though not being able to afford a HDMI - DVI lead I couln't tell you if it would work.

For the love of all things sacred. Take off the promotional sticker at the side of the screen! : )

They have absolutely no place and totally spoil the aesthetics. Why do it?

I'm glad i'm not the only one thinking this!!!

PuncH, where's that TV Stand from? I'm digging it.

I think I can mention them because OcUK don't sell TV stands as far as I know?

If I can't mention them, they feature(d) richard e grant in their adverts
If I can, it's argos ;)
