Shower or bath?

Being underwater is quite famous at damping noise actually.

You're doing it wrong etc. The only disadvantage to the shower that I can think of is the potentially for 'sticky recriminations', but this can be avoided...I hear.

I shower every day.

I would say I enjoy a bath every now and then, but I can't. Because what happens is that I run it, start looking forward to it, Get in....aaaahhh..... Wash and then I sit there bored. And then I can't be bothered to get out.

So I end up in a never ending cycle of boredom and being so relaxed I can't get out :(

Being 6'3 I never quite fit in a bath, only times I really use one is if it's after snowboarding or something where I really have to thaw out.
Love showers, so built a walk in 6ft wide shower at our house with a 12" rain drum, love it!

Shower mostly as bathing is just lying in your own muck

I really wish people would give up on saying this.

Seriously, look at the content of water.

It's an absolutely massive exaggeration.

I prefer showers of course, but I wish it'd become illegal to say so, as it's simply not true.

If it were, having a bath wouldn't clean your body.

How is it exaggerating?

you get in the bath and wash, dead skin & muck comes off, now your in the bath with muck and dead skin

exaggerating would be if people were saying that bathing in your own muck would kill you or a bath monster will come out the plug hole and tickle your feet

Because you're not in your own muck?

Using that logic, if I put 10ml of orange juice in to 400ml of water, it suddenly becomes orange juice through and through!

Calling 400ml of water with 10ml of orange juice in it, orange juice, is a massive over exaggeration.

Suggesting it'll kill you isn't exaggerating, it's plain making things up.

Those muck talkers are talking muck.

*spits*

You guys do realise that the dust you see all around you is dead skin flakes of every human that has step foot in that area right that you're breathing in?

Don't be such a bunch of pussies!

^ That coming from me, who is said to be a clean freak, is quite something.

No, that's nothing like what I have said

Except that it is.

How much water does a bath contain? A few hundred litres? About that.

Can you honestly say that the average person leaves more than a litre or two worth of "much" in a bath from bathing in it?

Soap/shampoo/conditioner = 100ml maximum combined.

That's around 1% of the total volume of water.

You ARE NOT lying in your own muck, to say you are is a massive over-exaggeration.

The water may be all cloudy, but that's how water is. Put a drop of ink or paint in to water and it'll go "cloudy" or be tinted the colour of the paint, it doesn't then make the water "paint".

No it really isn't
You're having trouble comprehending what people are saying

You seem to think that by people saying that they're lying in their own muck that there's some kind of % where the water becomes muck when actually all we're saying is that the water is now tainted with dirt/skin/etc

it's simply a figure of speach, no one is saying the water magically becomes muck as that would be retarded

iirc that's a myth, very little of dust is made up of skin particles.

Bath, nice and relaxing.

Shower: uncomfy, still cold due to not all areas covered in water, etcetc.

Always when I was at family in Poland I sat in the bath for ages, an hour per time usually, I'd kill to have a bath in my own home.

Plus you can shower in the bath I don't see how a shower can in any way be superior to a bath ?

Okay, but then what's the purpose of taking about your own "Muck"?

It's not really lying in your own much at all if the content is so low.

You could say the water is tainted by the copper pipes before they come out of the shower head and therefore, the water you're using to clean yourself is dirty copper pipe water.

It's also not a figure of speech either. A figure of speech is something that goes away from its literally meaning.

"I saw a spider, and I hit the roof in fear"

"I saw a spider and I ran a mile in fear"

Figure of speech.

"When you get a bath, you're lying in your own dirt" is an exaggeration.

For you to lay in your own dirt, the water would have to be exceptionally tainted with crap, otherwise you're simply not lying in your own dirt.

When does dirty water become paint? If you're using water colours, for example, and a small amount of water to rinse your brush and water your paint down, at some point the water will be "water colour" paint. Dipping your brush in a few times with paint on, however doesn't instantly mean the water is now paint.

I would say that you are the one having difficulty comprehending what I'm saying.
