Shuttle SP35P2 Pro is go!

Had one on order from another e-tailer over a month ago, got fed up with missed deliveries so bought an SG31G2, glad I did due to all the early hassles being reported on a well known forum

Currently running spec in sig and tbh it does it all, except allowing any overclocking on an e6x50 chip, however with everything at stock I get sub 17sec superpi [1 meg] and 12k in 3dm2k6

Not trying to put off anyone buying or considering a '35, just happy to confirm there are indeed other viable low cost Shuttle options out there.

and well done on your new position Si, finally someone with a genuine interest can report on updates for us Shuttle "geeks" :)

I'm wanting one, as it can run a decent gfx card in it and hold a few hdd's, didn't realise there was problem with it tho, what are the troubles people are having?

Cant say where :eek: [I think], but can say that a few people reported having to return them due to boot issues, which was almost certainly due to a rushed product to market last month, I would hope and expect the next batch to be much more robust.

I have owned at least half a dozen Shuttles over the years and personally have had no real troubles other than poor sata cables and bioses that dont allow for overclocking, the SD37P2 was a good example, but this was indeed rectified with an updated bios a few month after release.

I had the SN45G, Sn95G and SD31P. The Sn95G with X800 XT PE is still working after 3 years.

The return of the G2 chassis looks very tempting are these better then the previous version e.g SN45G? in terms of noise, heat, layout etc? Also the PSU on these shuttles are these any better then the older versions e.g again noise and heat.

I should imagine Shuttle have tweaked the design over the years to sort these problems, especially the psu I'd have thought (but can't confirm 100% sorry)

Im assuming this Shuttle would have enough space and power to accomodate an 8800 GT/GTS, what about a GTX? I know the Shuttle PSUs are particular good but wouldnt want to push it. Thats if it fits of course.

Looks to have plenty of space for a GTX etc m8. Taken from Shuttles website;

Well, even if you decide the PSU does not have enough juice, there is always the 450W replacement which I've seen appear...

Looks like the box that coul finally tempt me away from my Soltek Qbic.

I ran an xfx 8800gtx in my SD37p2 which is same rating psu, removed it due to heat build up not the shuttles inability to run it

I did have 3 Hd'S and an overclocked e6600 in there tho :)

tried to fit an ultra but the hsf casting with the raised fan was hitting the drive cage
