Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth Benchmark

I run couple of cpu tests on my setup, and what I found odd is I get exactly same average fps when I run my cpu at 3.6GHz or 4.4GHz. Only thing that happens is graph gets more spiky (both ways) at 3.6GHz. Quess my gpu just doesn't have enough grunt to make the bench cpu bound.

The current build of Civilization: Beyond Earth Mantle only supports two graphics cards—additional GPUs must be disabled in device manager, or the game will not launch. This may be resolved by an impending day 0 patch. TL : DR The developer needs to patch the game.

One other issue is is an application issue where >100% text scaling in the Windows desktop environment will cause the visible and functional locations to be offset.

I think I will write it off to another epic Mantle failure.

IF AMD want this API to thrive they need to ensure the game devs make sure it works out of the box, this is unacceptable.

Ahem ...

Developer needs to patch game... How come you immediately went to attack AMD? And who's to say its AMDs responsibility to make sure Firaxis makes their game work?

Anyways, Mantle does work. Just not with 4 GPUs apparently.

I guess you messed up.

Dont blame AMD for everything, many people have gotten it to work without problems.

As I was saying

If AMD want Mantle to die they are letting the game devs kill it.

It is all to easy to say the end user has messed up when the fault is elsewhere.

Understand the frustrations Kaap, will keep you updated with any new information comes to light. Unfortunately we can't patch their game so it's on Firaxis to patch it, which they will in time. Disabling the gpu's in device manager should work, please let me know if it does not and i will report it.

Whose software is Mantle again.

Why do end users have to mess around disabling cards.

Where is the info to tell people this is the case.

Kaap the info was provided in the link of the thread i created when the game launched.

NOTE: Sid Meier’s Civilization®: Beyond Earth™ presently supports a maximum of two graphics cards. To try mGPU on Mantle for yourself, navigate to %homepath%\Documents\my games\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\ in "My Computer." Open the GraphicsSettings.ini file and set "Enable MGPU=1"

I was under the impression there would be a day 1 patch to fix these issues, but perhaps it's been delayed slightly.

Disabling cards in device manager is something I refuse to do on principle to get a game to run. This is something the end user should never have to do.

End users are not here to prop up very lazy sloppy game devs.

Use DirectX in the meantime. Will update you when i have more information regarding a game patch to address these issues.
