3. Images can always be disabled in the browser, besides I've seen a fair few moving gifs as sigs they are surely over 40kb?
I like the dimension sizes; there's a sense of uniformity here. Think it's about time it's raised to 40k. We're all on broadband these days.
2: Neatness - the forums look pretty tidy with small signatures of a roughly uniform size (unlike many forums where there aren't any sig rules, and you end up with huge sigs).

Re the sig sizes, it's down to a number of reasons.
1: Speed - both for people on slower connections (there are still people stuck on very sub par BB), and when your image host is taking it's sweet time serving the file up.
1a: To assist people who may be on a limited data plan for some reason (either budget BB or mobile etc).
2: Neatness - the forums look pretty tidy with small signatures of a roughly uniform size (unlike many forums where there aren't any sig rules, and you end up with huge sigs).
3: Users on lower resolutions, either due to the screen being small, or accessing the forums via some sort of mobile device.
4: Animated sigs are distracting, often annoying, and rarely within the sig file size limits.
It was 1 and 3 that largely prompted the original signature size rule introduction, people having sigs that took up a good part of the screen every time they posted, and some users with huge animated sigs (at a time when BB was 512k cable if you were very lucky).
Thats all good and fair, so why are sigs that comply with all of those rules and more, such as no vulgar language, explicit graphics etc etc being removed.
I could put up a sig with dimensions within the rules, plain colour 5kb today and almost gaurantee it will be deleted, with no explanation.

I actully thought it was funny that somone who has been a member less than a month, uses l337 speek and all caps in his name thinks the rules should be changed just for him.
I'd love it if some talented fellow did me a new one though.
You know I'm fairly confident that if they just didn't want you here you would be long goneIF its some kind of hint that is supposed to say "I dont want you on here" why not just tell me instead of abusing your leet powerz ?![]()

The rules here are just right, the signatures add that little extra and don’t detract from the posts. I can’t stand forums where all you see is the signatures.![]()
