Sigma 150mm F/2.8 EX DG macro.

Question for the guys using this lens, anyone using/used the 1.4X with it ?.

I know the AF will still work ok, but looking for info on the IQ with the 1.4x, before parting with cash for the Tele-Converter.

Really just trying to extend the focal length to a 210mm, if I can keep the excellent IQ the lens has already.

Yup, IQ is fine with the 1.4X (Make sure you get the Sigma TC) although it is a bit too soft with the 2X.

can this lens work as a decent prime lens - i know it will focus to inifinity jsut wondering how well it works outside of the macro range?

33L a lot of the members on flickr use it as a portrait lens check out the groups for the lens

should be getting mine along with the sigma 10-20mm in a couple of month

cool - just what i wanted to know.
I will be using it for portraits as well. If the 1.4 TC works well then should cover a lot areas i need to.

A lot of my portrait, wildlife and event photographs were taken using this lens.

These are as they came off my 40D no Cropping or editing, only pilot shot,+shooting into the sun

Here is another one I took this morning , again with the Sigma 150mm macro.

Only started down off the mountain (Cader Idris )at 6PM tonight, OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ill be climbing it again tomorrow :confused:

I love the picture of the pilot with his thumb up. Not sure I would fancy taking my eyes off the hills though while flying that thing.
